Day 1 : Lima

From India, the best way to reach Lima is to take the one stopover flight via Paris on Air France, arrive at Lima, by 19:50 hours, you will be met by our local representative who will transfer you to the hotel. Stay at the Swissotel Lima for 2 nights on a bed & breakfast basis.

Day 2 : Lima

Your included city tour focuses on Lima’s rich colonial history as well as the modern city. Lima was the bastion of Spanish South America from its founding in 1535 until the independence of the South American republics in the early 19th century. See the cathedral, where the remains of Francisco Pizarro are sealed in a wooden coffin, and the Santo Domingo Convent to see the relics of three famous Peruvian saints—Santa Rosa de Lima, San Martin de Porres, and San Juan Macias.

Day 3 : Cusco

After your morning breakfast, check out & fly to Cusco, high in the Andes. Your guided tour visits the Santo Domingo Monastery, one of the most important temples devoted to worship of the sun. It is said it was covered in gold leaf and filled with golden representations of nature. At Plaza de Armas, see the cathedral before taking a short drive outside the city to the ruins of Sacsayhuaman with its intricate stone walls, the amphitheater of Kenko, and the red fortress of Puca Pucara. Day 4 : Sacred Valley

After breakfast , check out, a short drive into the Urubamba Valley, the Sacred Valley of the Incas, brings you to Awana Kancha to learn about the importance of the alpaca for Inca cultures, as well as the ancient weaving techniques still in use today. Continue to the market town of Pisac, where you can buy handmade rugs, alpaca sweaters, and jewelry at bargain prices. At the other end of the valley, visit Ollantaytambo to see some of the finest examples of Inca masonry. Day 5 : Machu Picchu

Check out of your hotel and embark on a train trip bound for Machu Picchu and cut a path through the Sacred Valley to this “Lost City of the Incas,” discovered by American explorer Hiram Bingham in 1911. On a guided tour, explore this intact fortress with its temple remains, holy houses, and mile-long aqueduct. For hikers, a brisk one-hour walk leads to the Sun Gate, the ancient entrance used by the Incas. Stay at the Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel for 1 night on a full board basis.

Day 6 : Cusco

A morning at leisure allows you to wake up early to see sunrise over Machu Picchu with your second included entrance to the ruins. Return to Cusco by train. Stay at the J W Marriott El Convento Cusco for 1 night on a bed & breakfast basis.

Day 7 : Arequipa

After breakfast, take a flight to Arequipa in the Chili River Valley and flanked by three snow capped volcanoes: Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu. Known as the “white city,” Arequipa definitely does justice to its nickname, as its buildings are made of sillar, a white volcanic rock found throughout the area. The stone embellishes the facades of the city’s homes and churches. Upon arrival, a private city tour of Arequipa shows off the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral before visiting the Jesuit church, considered the best example of the mestizo-baroque style. Continue to the residential districts of Yanahuara and Chilina, where you enjoy a magnificent view of Arequipa’s countryside and the Mount Misti volcano. Day 8 : Colco Canyon

Depart for Colca Valley. Drive across Pampa Cañahuas within the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, the habitat of vicuñas and a variety of birds. Admire beautiful Pre-Columbian terraces still being cultivated by native Collaguas. This afternoon, relax at La Calera Hot Springs. Stay at the Colca Lodge & Spa for 2 nights on a bed & breakfast basis.

Day 9 : Colca Canyon

Free day to explore Colca Canyon.

Day 10 : Arequipa

Proceed to Condors’ Cross, an observation point where you can view these majestic Andean birds and enjoy the impressive panorama of the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world. Next, visit the towns of Yanque, Maca, Achoma, and Pinchollo. In the afternoon, return to Arequipa. Stay at the Casa Andina Premium Arequipa for 1 night on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 11 : Lima

After breakfast check out and take your flight back to Lima. Day at your leisure. Stay at the Swissotel Lima for 1 night on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 12 : Lima international airport
