Itinerary

Day 1 : Siem Reap

Arrival at Siem Reap International Airport. Our representative will meet you & transfer you to the hotel for check in. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Stay at the Anantara Angkor Resort for 3 nights on bed & breakfast basis.

Day 2 : Angkor Wat

After an early breakfast, enjoy a full day tour of Angkor Temple, Ta Prohm & Bayon. You will first visit the Angkor Wat Temple. “Angkor Wat is the ultimate expression of Khmer genius – an awe-inspiring temple that is stunning for both its grand scale and its incredible detail. Then continue to the north gate of Ta Prohm Temple, the jungle temple famous for the Tomb Raider, and the temple of doom movies shooting theme, built in the Bayon style largely in the late 12th and early 13th centuries and originally called Rajavihara. Then visit the Bayon Temple, latest grand Angkor city of Angkor Thom, main temple of Bayon, the four gigantic temple faces. Preah Ang Chek Preah Ang Chom Temple, a popular holy shrine in Siem Reap city and located just past the Royal Palace. Your final stop will be at the Artisan Angkor, Old Market and Pub Street.

Day 3 : Kulen Mountains & 1000 Lingas

Today after breakfast, enjoy a full day tour of Kulen Mountain & Floating Village. Proceed to the North eastern part of Siem Reap to explore the archaeological site of Kulen Mountain which covers at least 50 ruined temples. The River of Thousand Lingas lying under the river bed. After Lunch, visit the floating village of Kompong Phluk, one of the small unspoiled floating villages, a nice and less touristy spot for those who like to feel the beautiful atmosphere and the nature. Embark on a private Cambodian traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap great lake, with a visit to the floating village.

Day 4 : Luang Prabang

Today after breakfast and check out, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Laos. Arrive Luang Prabang, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel for check in and rest. In the evening take the 328 steps that lead to the top of Mount Phousi where you will be rewarded with a marvellous view of the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers. Stay at the Sofitel for 2 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 5 : Luang Prabang

After breakfast, enjoy a full day city tour that begins with a visit to the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum, where you will explore the history of Laos. Continue on foot to Wat Mai, a temple renowned for its golden bas-relief, and Wat Sensoukarahm, Wat Xieng Thong, one of Laos’ most beautiful temples. After lunch, proceed to visit Wat Visoun, the holiest temple of the city. Continue to the Traditional Arts & Ethnology Centre, a museum dedicated to exploring the rich diversity of Laos’ ethnic minorities. Later in the afternoon, cross the Mekong for a short walk on the opposite side and climb to Wat Chomphet for a bird-eye view of the city at sunset.

Day 6 : Hanoi

Today after breakfast and check our transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel for check in and rest. In the afternoon enjoy a half day City tour of Hanoi by visiting the Hanoi Old Quarter. Your first stop will be the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university built in the late 11th century. Enjoy a 45-min cyclo tour through the famed Old Quarter known for its ‘36 streets of 36 wares’ named after the original 36 artisan guilds that date as far back as the 13th century. Then stop at a vintage coffee shop, where you sit on very small chairs as is the special style of Hanoi, to start a day by tasting a cup of Vietnamese coffee. Your final stop will be at the water puppet performance, a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form said to have originated in the flooded rice fields of the Red River Delta. Stay at The Sofitel Metropole Hanoi for 2 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 7 : Hanoi

Today after breakfast enjoy a day trip to Bai Dinh and Trang An Landscape. Your first stop will be at Bai Dinh pagoda with a total area of 2000ha, the Bai Dinh complex is the biggest Buddhism centre of Southeast Asia with hundreds of statues of different sizes. After lunch, proceed to Trang An Scenic Landscape complex nearby which recently recognized as an UNESCO World natural heritage, get on a rowing boat (small sampan) travelling along the small river with scenic mountain and green fields landscape. Boat takes you to visit cave complexes of Trang An: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Nau Ruou in mystery and wilderness, the scenery of mountains and rivers – Halong on land of Ninh Binh. Return back to the hotel. Overnight Stay at hotel.

Day 8 : Halong Bay

Today after breakfast, check out and drive to Halong Bay. Upon arrival in Halong Bay check into your boat cruise which is the UNESCO World Heritage site boasting a wild beauty of clustered limestone islets and crescent beaches. Check in and relax. Stay on the Alisa Premier for 1 night on a full board basis.

Day 9 : Ho Chi Minh

Wake up early and take a position on the upper deck to witness the sun rise over the bay, a cup of hot tea in hand. Early morning is truly a magical time on the bay as the limestone karsts appear all around you in different shapes, sizes and colours. Continue sailing through magnificent Ha Long Bay. Enjoy a brunch on board before arriving at Ha Long City Pier. Arrive and drive to Hanoi Airport for your evening flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon Arrival you will be met by our representative and transfer to the hotel. Check in and relax. Stay at The Reverie for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 10 : Ho Chi Minh

Today after breakfast, enjoy a full day tour of Saigon, a city that never sleeps (Ho Chi Minh City). Begin your walking tour in some of the city’s most historic landmarks. Transfer to Dong Khoi Street downtown to visit some of the beautiful French colonial-era buildings from the late 19th and early 20th century. Appreciate the splendidly restored exteriors of the Saigon Opera House and the Notre Dame Cathedral, then head across the square to the Central Post Office, completed in 1891. A short drive away is the former Presidential Palace, the headquarters of the Saigon Government during the American War. Continue to the elegant City Hall (the former Hotel de Ville. Experience Saigon’s famed street coffee culture while your guide provides insights into daily life in Saigon. After Lunch visit to the War Remnants Museum for a vivid perspective of the American War through the eyes of the Vietnamese. We then drive to Chinatown to visit the beautiful Thien Hau Pagoda, built by the Cantonese community in the early 19th century to honour the Goddess of the Sea. Take time to make a wish, write it on a small card and attach it to one of the incense coils according to local custom. Continue your visit to FITO, the first museum of traditional medicine in Vietnam.

Day 11 : Cu Chi Tunnels

Today with packed breakfast, depart in the early morning for a 2hr drive northwest to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The ingenious tunnel complex was initially started in 1948 to protect the Viet Cong guerrillas from the French air and ground sweeps. The tunnels also served as communication routes, storage facilities for food and weapon caches and contained hospitals and living quarters for guerrilla fighters throughout the American War. Continue your journey with a 1.5hr drive to the Cao Dai Great Temple in Tay Ninh. Founded in the early 20th century and indigenous to Vietnam, Cao Dai is a fusion of elements from Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism, with some aspects of Christianity and Islam. The elaborate architecture of the temple reflects this unique combination of religions. Visitors are welcome inside the temple to observe the colourful midday service. There is a viewing balcony which affords excellent views and photography is permitted.

Day 12 : Airport

Today after breakfast and check out, enjoy your last-minute shopping and transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
