This is a fun trip if you would like to self-drive in South Africa ! The self-drive section is only based out in the beautiful Garden route which is best when explored on your own. The hotels chosen are value properties and the tour gives you a glimpse of the best of Cape town, Garden route and Sun city.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Sun city

Arrive at OR Tambo international airport and you will be transferred to Sun City by a chauffeur driven vehicle. Spend 2 nights at the 4 star property Sun City The Soho.

Day 2 : Sun city

Explore sun city’s valley of waves (entry included) a waterpark with slides and kid’s section. Explore the Pilanesberg national park (optional), the casino at sun city, golf course, water world.

Day 3 : Johannesburg and lion Park

After your breakfast at Sun city, bid farewell and embark on your drive to the lion park (entrance fee included), interact with lion cubs, cheetah etc and go on a game drive seeing the famous white lions, hyenas, Wild dogs. You will then proceed to a half day city tour of Johannesburg and have lunch on the way (lunch not included) and reach your hotel by evening – stay at the Radisson Blu sandton for 1 night.

Day 4 : Oudtshoorn

After your breakfast you will be transferred to OR tambo airport for your flight to George airport, collect your baggage and collect your Mercedes C class for 2 days and proceed to Oudtshoorn to stay at an ostrich farm Mooiplaas Guest House for 1 night.

Day 5 : Lake Knysna

Explore the cango ranch, cango caves and other interesting sightseeing at your leisure and reach Lake Knysna where you will stay for a night at The Loft. Explore Lake Knysna on your scheduled cruise (tickets included) and wind up the day.

Day 6 : Cape town

After your breakfast you will then drive down to George airport where you will give away your self drive vehicle and fly to Cape town, upon landing you will then be transferred to The Sugar Hotel where you will stay for 3 nights.

Day 7 : Cape town

After breakfast, proceed for a half day Cape town city tour and a visit to the top of the table mountain, keep the evening for some shopping at the V&A waterfront stores.
