Itinerary

Day 1 : Thimphu

Arrive Paro and You will be met by our guide at the airport and transfer to Thimphu Hotel for check in and relax. Spend the next 2 nights in Thimphu on bed, breakfast & dinner basis

Day 2 : Thimphu

After breakfast, visit folk heritage houses to understand the lifestyle of Bhutanese in the rural community, visit the School of Arts and crafts (closed on Sundays, government holidays) Drive pass by Memorial Chorten built-in memory of late 3rd King. Visit Buddha viewpoint, world's largest sitting Buddha. Visit Takin reserve national animal which has unique creation history behind, visit textile museum collection house of the expensive textile of Bhutan

Day 3 : Punakha

After breakfast, check out and drive to Punakha over the most beautiful Dochula pass. Candles like 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens built over the pass give an amazing photo stop. Visit Lamperi Botanical Garden that gives a wide knowledge of flora and fauna of Bhutan. Visit the most beautiful Punakha Dzong, showcase the finest example of the arts and crafts of Bhutan. Enjoy the walks on the suspension bridge over Male River, said to be the longest of its kind in Bhutan. Join the nuns for evening prayer at Sangchen Dorji Lhuendrup nunnery, which ends the day. Stay for 1 night in Punakha on a bed, breakfast & dinner basis.

Day 4 : Phobjikha

After breakfast and check out, proceed to Gangtey to take a hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of fertility. Later they escaped to a valley of black-necked cranes and rhododendron forest, Phobjikha, often called Gangtey. Stopover at Wangdue to see the ruins of Wangdue fortress which is under construction. Our scenic drive through the belt of Wangdue to Phobjikha gives an amazing drive. Cross the beautiful Pelela range to enter into the valley. Visit between May to June is greeted with beautiful rhododendrons and November to February gives the chance to see the world's rare bird black-necked cranes. On arrival, visit Gangtey Gompa, the oldest and largest monastery. From the temple, take the beautiful downhill Gangtey trail for two hours, a walk not recommended for rainy days. Depending on the time, visit the crane center, a house of information about rare bird, black-necked cranes. Overnight in Phobjikha, stay here for 1 night on bed, breakfast and dinner basis.

Day 5 : Paro

After breakfast and check out proceed to Paro, retrace the drive back to Paro via Dochula and Thimphu. In Paro, visit 17th century Paro Dzong and Ta Dzong, a unique national museum having a masterpiece of various collections. Visit 8th-century Kyichu Lhakhang and enjoy outdoor activities wearing Gho/Kira, play archery at an outdoor center. stay for 3 nights in Paro on a bed, breakfast, and dinner basis for 3 nights.

Day 6 : Paro

Visit the temples of Dzongdrakha on foot which studs the rock cliff. Continue driving to Chelela Pass, one of the highest road passes at 3988m. During a clear day, you can enjoy views of the most sacred mountain Mt. Jomolhari 7314m. Picnic lunch at the pass, prayer flag hoisting, and mountain biking are some of the interesting activities available at extra cost, check with our representative. If you wish we can further drive down to Haa valley to pick up a few things depending on interest and time. The drive is most scenic. Overnight in Paro.

Day 7 : Paro - Tiger’s nest trek

The morning after breakfast, we will take an awesome hike to Bhutan's most revered monuments, the Taktshang Goemba, more commonly referred to as the “Tiger’s Nest”. The four-hour trek offers spectacular views of this sacred monastery perched on a vertical cliff surface at 900m above the valley floor. After lunch, we will visit Drukgyel ruin Dzong and the national museum if time permits. Overnight in Paro.

Day 8 : Paro International Airport

After breakfast check out and you will be transferred to Paro Airport
